Again firmly settled in the romance genre, not very original but heart-warming. I wanted to skip this as it is about a character (Austy) that I didn't connect with before, but this dive into her life was a nice read. Painful as well, as her mother is dying of cancer, as did my father, so that hit close to home.Īnother part of her series. Some of the twists and turns are painful to read in that they are cliche, but the lead character, Jessie, is really worth reading about. Two of the group take forever to find out that they are in love (see a trend here?). Part of her series on a group of friends. What kept me going was the plot of the novel, former pro ball player, now women's college coach is takes over teaching a men's college basketball team. I wanted to slap all of the characters a lot while reading. Continued with the rest of her books.Ĭenters around a basketball coach who spends most of the trying to get out of a new relationship with what must be the most caricature-like character ever and can't figure out that her true love is right in front of her.
